Photos and Story by

The Rock Creek Campus Theatre Arts Program is in its second year of productions. For its first play of 2012-13, students are presenting its second annual children’s theater piece- “Waiting for Goldilocks.” The play is about three bears who live in the woods and to whom nothing ever happens. Having heard about Goldilocks, they are desperate for her attention and set out to gain it! During the bears’ quest for Goldilocks, they cross paths with the Fairytale Bureau of Investigations and the world famous detectives Hickory, Dickory, and Doc. The bears also run into Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Snow White who   are each, in turn, mistaken for Goldilocks.

“Waiting for Goldilocks” is set for 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3 and Nov. 10. All productions are held in The Forum, (Room 114, Building 3). Admission is free, but organizers are collecting cans of food for the PCC Canteen Food Drive.

Theater arts at Rock Creek welcomes another family favorite for winter term – “The Wind in the Willows.”  This will be the first musical at Rock Creek. Auditions will be open to the students, college employees and members of the general public. Spring term will bring to life the comedy “Over the River and through the Woods.”
