The “Atrox Somes” are coming to the Sylvania Campus North View Gallery Jan. 10 through Feb. 8. This exhibition is comprised of a group of artists who have confronted a life changing health issue (whether directly or indirectly) in their lives. The altered perceptual state that has resulted from these experiences is the focus of the artistic works presented. Artists include Brigitte Dortmund, Katie Dunbar, Andrea Rosselle, John Tolles and James Wallace-Mischke.

There will be an opening reception from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10 at the gallery. Plus, there will be a curator’s talk by James Wallace-Mischke from 1-2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16. The North View Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. It’s located in Room 214 of the CT Building at Sylvania.
