This winter term, the Service-Learning Program invites your students to participate in the 4th annual MLK Day of Service in Portland on Monday, Jan 21.
This year’s event focuses on cleaning and distributing tens of thousands of used books. Please invite your students to register and participate in this event. Complementary lunches will be provided to all registered participants.
The MLK Day of Service is a cooperative of Portland-area colleges facilitated by the Oregon Campus Compact. This year, service projects will center on the theme of “Education as a Civil Right” with a special focus on literacy. Sign up today to participate in MLK Day and to serve the Portland-area with over 1,000 college students.
“To honor and celebrate Dr. King’s legacy, we unite our community to serve the places that we live, work, and study,” said PCC’s Service-Learning Coordinator Josh Liebschutz. “Annually, it is the largest mobilization of college students in the country on MLK Day.”
