Panthers earn third-place finish at Crossover Tourney

The men’s basketball team took third place in its own Portland Community College Crossover Tournament on Dec. 22 at the Cascade Campus. The Panthers beat Edmonds 97-85 win over Edmonds to take the third third-place trophy. The Panthers went up 88-81 with 4:36 to play following Carl Appleton’s reverse layup. Edmonds cut the gap to a one-possession game in the final minutes, but Portland ended the game on a nine-point surge. Portland improved to 7-4 on the season.
