Girls Robotics Camp

Published on Aug 6, 2014: This video showcased the all-girls FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics camp that was hosted by PCC’s Machine Manufacturing Technology Program at the Sylvania Campus. The camp introduced high school girls from all over the area to machine shop theory and engineering basics of robotics as well as provided them with lab time with machines.

Fire in the Kiln! Portland Community College Welcomes New Kiln Yard

Published on Nov 21, 2014: The Sylvania Campus had a raku firing party to officially open the brand new ceramics kiln yard next to the CT Building and we were there camera in hand! Dozens of faculty, staff and students painted pottery and witnessed the first raku firing in the facility.
