Jim Langstraat picked to lead PCC’s finance division

Jim Langstraat is your next Vice President of Finance and Administration at Portland Community College.

Langstraat has more than 30 years of experience in K-12 districts and higher education. His background includes oversight of finance and administration at complex organizations. For the past three years, he served as the college’s associate vice president of Finance and was responsible for the Financial Services Division; safety and risk management; purchasing; warehousing and distribution; budget development, monitoring and ensuring compliance with Oregon Budget Law; payroll; accounts receivable and payable; contracts and grants accounting and more.JimLangstraat

“He cares a great deal about the work he is doing at Portland Community College and is excited about the opportunity to use his skills and experience in this role,” said Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs and the search committee’s chair Chris Chairsell. “I would like you to join me in congratulating Jim and extend the most sincere appreciation to him for stepping up into this position at such a critical time in PCC’s history.”

From 2006 to 2012, Langstraat worked for the North Clackamas School District as the chief financial officer and community liaison in all financial matters. There he served as a member of the superintendent’s cabinet and administrative Team and he supervised fiscal services, business operations, risk management, community services and food services. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Central College (Iowa) and a master’s degree in Business from the University of Iowa.

Langstraat was chosen after Chairsell and her committee hosted finalist forums at the Sylvania Campus Aug. 24-25.

I can’t accept my financial aid

I completed my fasfa application in April on the 29 th of 2015 and that was the process date and the transaction date it says student not found error its for the fall term this year
