Rock Creek’s Preview Day draws 400 prospective student visitors

Photos and Story by | 1 comment

The Rock Creek Campus welcomed 400 high school students and parents to PCC’s Preview Day on Jan. 22. Students from Washington and Columbia counties were invited to tour 19 distinct programs that are based at the campus, including Microelectronics Technology, Diesel Service Technology, Auto Collision Repair and Veterinary Technology. Students also attended sessions focused on placement testing, financial aid, scholarship opportunities and campus resources.

In addition, PCC’s food service staff prepared and served hundreds of attendees within the new Building 5 facility; college student leaders showcased their work; organizers hosted 28 information sessions that featured faculty and staff from all four campuses, including the Beaverton Early College students and Rock Creek Chamber Ensemble; and Outreach and Orientation coordinators provided hands on assistance with Oregon Promise and admissions applications.

Hello! I am wondering if there is still an opportunity to register for the PCC preview day? I would be interested in coming and visiting the campus and seeing what it has to offer.

PCC offers this limited open forum as an extension of the respectful, well-reasoned discourse we expect in our classroom discussions. As such, we welcome all viewpoints, but monitor comments to be sure they stick to the topic and contribute to the conversation. We will remove them if they contain or link to abusive material, personal attacks, profanity, off-topic items, or spam. This is the same behavior we require in our hallways and classrooms. Our online spaces are no different.
