Speed Culturing was the exercise at PCC’s Rock Creek Campus on Nov. 16 that brought together ESOL and Business Technology students who speak Chinese, Persian, French, Arabic, Spanish, Vietnamese, Nepali, Hebrew, Korean and English. International students, immigrants and refugees switched partners every five minutes and tackled such topics as Portland culture, the recent election, the use of drones in business, the environment, and online commerce. Except for Portland culture, all other topics are those of global concern that influence all of the countries represented in the exercise.
