Almost 10,000 PCC students enroll in distance learning classes each term. To make those learning experiences better, PCC Distance Education has recently adopted a new learning management system called Desire2Learn. It will replace the WebCT/Blackboard system the college has been using since 1998. “We selected Desire2Learn because it supports a variety of new features to enhance teaching and learning,” said John Sneed, director of distance education. Some of the new features include: An attractive new interface. Full integration with the registration system (so students will be added and dropped as they submit their drop/add forms online).
