PCC is offering citizenship classes to ready residents for the U.S. citizenship tests.

Eligibility for classes rests on the individual’s ability to ready and write in English at fourth- to fifth-grade level, be a U.S. resident for at least four years and have a green card.

Two eight-week classes are scheduled at Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. in the HT Building, Room 216 and on Thursday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon in the SCB Building, Room 205. The Wednesday classes begin on Jan. 22, the Thursday classes start Jan. 23. Cost for each is $40.

There is also an eight-week class scheduled in Hillsboro which begins Wednesday Jan. 15, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Poynter Junior High School in Hillsboro , 1535 N.E. Grand.

Tuition and fees are $53 for the Hillsboro class.
