Ready to jump on the information superhighway? Want to take a more active role for your business or organization? Or maybe just explore the personal communication possibilities using the World Wide Web?

A new course entitled Beginning Web Page Creation (CRN 29599) is offered this spring at Portland Community College’s Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave., in the SS Building, Room 213. Beginning Web Page Creation is taught by instructor Art Schneider and begins on March 31. The class meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 2 to 3:50 p.m. and will run through April 30.

This five-week, one-credit course is a hands-on class designed to teach you how to create a web page. It will include basic HTML editing, how to include links, graphics and tables. You will learn how to create a web page with two different editors, an HTML editor and a WYSIWYG editor. Advanced features such as image mapping and frames will be introduced but not emphasized. The course will also include design issues and how to get your page on the "net" once it is ready to be published.

For more information, please contact Art Schneider at 978-4127 or e-mail him at aschneid@pcc.edu.
