BEAVERTON — Learning piano need not be a tortuous regimen of scales, counting and theory. Instead, just take a few hours learning to play the way the pros do — with chords in No Pain Piano a one-evening course on Friday, Oct. 24 at Whitford Middle School.
Instructor James Templeton relies on solid musical concepts, but for the casual piano player. This beginning course gets you playing your favorite pop tunes — with both hands! Treble clef reading required.
Tuition is $25 plus a $17 fee collected in class for a workbook and cassette. Whitford Middle School is located at 7935 S.W. Scholls Ferry Rd. For an information packet, call Portland Community College at 533-2707.
