Beginning Excel Course Covers Spreadsheet Concepts

ST. HELENS – Beginning to intermediate spreadsheet concepts will be covered in a Beginning Excel course for Windows being offered this fall by Portland Community College.The three-credit microcomputer course Beginning Excel: WIN, will meet from 6:30 to 8:50 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 26 through Dec. 14, in room B43 at St. Helens High School, 2375 Gable Road. Cost is $137.50.Students will gain a working knowledge of spreadsheet vocabulary in this hands-on course, which requires English communication skills and computer familiarity. Topics include graphs, windows, databases, statistical functions and macros.
