Beginning Photography Class Slated

BEAVERTON – Don’t know an f-stop from a shutter speed? And what’s a film speed? PCC can help. Three non-credit beginning photography classes will be offered in the Beaverton area this fall by Portland Community College. The sessions are as follows:Mondays from 1-3:30 p.m., Sept. 25 through Nov. 13, in room 1570 at PCC’s Washington County Workforce Training Center, N.W. 185th and Walker Road. The instructor will be Pat Bognar. The cost is $60 with an additional weekly charge for the development of proof sheets.Tuesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Sept. 26 through Nov. 14, in room D140 at Southridge High School, 9625 S.W. 125th Ave., Beaverton. The instructor will be Sharon O’Keefe. The cost is $75.Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m., Sept. 27 through Nov. 29, in room 1570 at the Workforce Training Center, N.W. 185th and Walker Road. The instructor will be Warren Mitchell. The cost is $81, with an additional $5 materials fee payable at the first class.Students will gain confidence operating a 35mm camera by becoming familiar with film speed, apertures, shutter speeds, lenses and composition.
