PORTLAND, Ore. – Small classes with hands-on instruction and plenty of time for questions will help older adults learn computer fundamentals this summer through two Portland Community College non-credit classes. Plus, senior citizens get a tuition discount. The classes will be taught by Elizabeth Wood.Computer Fundamentals for Seniors: Level I will teach students basic computer terminology, how to maneuver a mouse and how to use a keyboard. Students will be introduced to basic word processing, spreadsheets and e-mail. Computer Fundamentals for Seniors: Level II will teach more advanced skills in word processing, spreadsheets and the Internet.Level I class times are as follows:10 a.m. to noon Mondays, June 24 through Aug. 12.1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, June 26 through Aug. 14.Level II class times are as follows:1 to 3 p.m. Mondays, June 24 through Aug. 12., 10 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, June 26 through Aug. 14.All classes will be held in the Multnomah Art Center building of the Neighborhood House, 7688 S.W.
