Learn Computer Basics ?En Espanol'

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Spanish-speakers will have the opportunity to update their computer knowledge and gain valuable skills for the workplace with three upcoming non-credit classes offered by Portland Community College. Instructor Braulio Garcia will teach three computer classes in Spanish, accompanied by Spanish-written materials. All Classes will be held in Room 1532 of PCC’s Capital Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road. Internet para todos will teach students how to navigate the Internet and download programs found online. The class will meet from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. every Saturday, Nov. 2 through Dec. 7. Cost is $45. Windows 98 en espanol will introduce students to the basic concepts of Windows 98 and is specially designed for those with no previous computer experience. The class will be offered at two different times this fall: 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Both classes meet every Saturday, Sept. 28 through Oct. 26. Cost is $50. Word 2000 en espanol will explore basic aspects of Word 2000 including the creation of documents, saving, editing and formatting options.
