PCC Introduces Classes in Video Production and Editing

BEAVERTON, Ore. – The Portland Community College Computer Education Program (CEP) is bringing jam-packed and relevant information from the world of film and video to students fall term with three video production and editing courses. The courses in digital video production, non-linear video production and the video editing capabilities of Adobe Premiere 6.0 are introductory-level and hands-on.The first two courses, Introduction to Video Production and Introduction to Non-linear Video Production, lead the beginner-and-intermediate-level student through the history and professional aspects of video production. Following these, Introduction to Adobe Premiere 6.0 will show students how to edit their own video material to create finished projects. Classes will be held at the PCC Workforce Training Center at the Capital Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road."The video production and editing classes are perfect for individuals who have recently purchased a digital video camera, or for anyone who wants to make the videos they are currently shooting look more professional,"said CEP’s Carrie Martin.
