Strum a New Tune With PCC Guitar Class

TUALATIN, Ore. – Have you always wanted to learn to play the guitar? Now Portland Community College will offer you the chance with an upcoming non-credit class. Guitar: Level I is ideal for complete beginners with a desire to play. Instructor Edward Burns will teach the basics of tuning, chords, scales, songs, rhythm, strumming and reading music – all presented in an environment that encourages students to begin playing from day one. The class will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday, Sept. 24 through Dec. 3, at Hazelbrook Middle School, 11300 S.W. Hazelbrook Road in Tualatin. Cost is $44.50.
