Lost Your Job? PCC Class Taps Hidden Strengths, New Directions

BEAVERTON Ore. – What do I want to do with the rest of my life? That’s the question people facing a job loss must struggle to answer. In a one-day class offered by Portland Community College this winter, workers can discover strategies for taking the next step and putting their career plans back on track. Out of Work? What’s Next? a non-credit class, will focus on coping with job loss as a springboard for discovering your hidden passions and redesigning your career path to tap greater personal fulfillment. Instructor Jean Morton will discuss how to determine your options, and how to begin doing what you’ve always dreamed. Students are asked to bring three of their favorite magazines and a sense of adventure. The class will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at PCC’s Washington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road. Cost is $26.
