Outwit Identity Thieves

Photos and Story by

HILLSBORO, Ore. – Identity thieves are responsible for racking up millions of dollars each year on stolen credit cards – all it takes is some careless behavior on your part. Don’t be a victim! Let Portland Community College give you the strategies you need to outwit identity thieves in an upcoming non-credit class. Identity Theft will offer ways to minimize your risks, discover how identities are easily stolen, what to do if you become a victim, and how the government is responding to this crime. Instructor Rick Tucker will lead an interactive class that encourages questions and provides individualized strategies. The class will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. over two Thursdays, Jan. 9 and Jan. 16, at Century High School, 2000 S.W. 234th Ave. Cost is $26.
