Unlock Mysteries of Fiction Writing in PCC Class

PORTLAND, Ore. – Turn your story ideas into dynamic manuscripts with Portland Community College’s Beginning Fiction, a non-credit class. Instructor Mary Rechner will guide students through the use of free writing, discovering prompts for story ideas, building interesting characters and points of view, and how to write gripping dialogue. Students will have the opportunity to share their writing in class, and inject their stories with pivot points to keep readers engrossed. The class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 7 through March 11, in Room 217 at Grant High School, 2245 N.E. 36th. Cost is $80.
