Photos and Story by

PORTLAND, Ore. – Divorce can be rocky. Sometimes navigating the rapids of emotional change takes an extra oar. Portland Community College will present a non-credit online class to help you make sense of your feelings, so you can move on with wisdom and self-knowledge.After the Marriage Ends, a non-credit class, will address feelings of loss, guilt, anger and rejection and how to leave them behind. Instructor Rita Lynne, Ph.D., explains how these feelings can both heal us and force us to find balance, while giving students a chance to express themselves. The anonymity of an interactive online classroom offers both comfort and support during difficult transition."The lessons and the online discussions with Dr. Lynne were so useful,"read a recent student evaluation email. "I wish I had gone through the class earlier."Held entirely online via the Internet, the class offers the flexibility to open lessons whenever your schedule allows and features discussion boards with other students. New six-week, non-credit classes will begin monthly throughout the fall on Wednesdays, Sept. 17, Oct. 8, Nov. 5 and Dec.10. Cost is $79.
