Caterer shares secrets of tasty holiday hors d'oeuvres

PORTLAND, Ore. – Your holiday parties may be a whole lot easier than you think. The secret, as every good host knows, is plenty of delectable food – but how do you avoid spending hours in a hot kitchen or blowing a fortune on catering? Portland Community College can give you the answer from a professional caterer with an upcoming non-credit class.Hors d’oeuvres for the Holidays will teach you how to whip up mouthwatering morsels for your seasonal entertaining. Join professional chef Tamara Leibfarth of Reedville Catering, and come away with an array of easy, delicious recipes. Whether entertaining for Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas, Leibfarth will demonstrate the shortcuts for making party cooking a snap.The class will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 29 through Nov. 5, in Room 102 of PCC’s Southeast Center, 2850 S.E. 82nd Ave. Cost is $45.
