NEWBERG, Ore. – If you enjoy one-of-a-kind jewelry, have an eye for design and a penchant for creativity, Portland Community College may have just the creative outlet you’re looking for.Jewelry: Fabrication and Casting, a non-credit class, will teach students the art of jewelry design from selecting and working with fine metals, to creating a stunning finished product you can wear or possibly even sell."I love it when people ask me where I got my ring,"read a past student evaluation. "When I tell them I made it myself, their eyes pop out – then they ask me to design one for them too."The class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 25 through Dec. 4, at Manney B’s, 211 E.
