Dive into fitness with PCC water aerobics classes

PORTLAND, Ore. – For an alternative to high-impact aerobic activities, try a calorie-burning workout in the water. Portland Community College will offer a slate of non-credit water aerobics classes that decrease joint stress and increase muscle tone.Instructor Veronica Spickler will teach six different Water Aerobics classes this fall. Students have the option of signing up for deep or shallow water aerobics, in 10-week or five-week sessions designed to fit various schedules. All classes will be held in the pool, located in the Health Technology Building at PCC Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Ten-week classes in both deep and shallow water aerobics will be held as follows: Deep Water Aerobics will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 23 through Nov. 25. Cost is $87.Shallow Water Aerobics will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 23 through Nov. 25. Cost is $87.Five-week classes in both deep and shallow water aerobics will start twice during the term, as follows:The first Deep Water Aerobics session will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 23 through Oct. 23. The second session will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 28 through Dec. 4.
