Bring history to life with PCC re-enactment class

PORTLAND, Ore. – Do you love history? Ever think about sharing it with others? A new non-credit class, offered by Portland Community College, will teach you how to create an interactive experience for others as a professional re-enactor, teacher or museum guide.Bring History to Life will teach you how to enhance learning of history by developing historic character, blending creative drama and more. Instructor Albert LePage will offer new insights into the lives of people during your favorite periods of history."Turn what you love into a new job or volunteer hobby,"said Ed Kaiel, PCC Community Education manager. "You can make what some might perceive as a boring subject come alive while engaging people to learn more about history."The class will take place over two days: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan 24, in Room 200 of Terrell Hall at PCC Cascade Campus, 705 N. Killingsworth, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, at Fort Vancouver. Cost is $69.For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-731-6832.
