TWO ITEMS: Get in shape with PCC circuit training program

PORTLAND, Ore. – Looking for a way to reach fitness goals fast? Studies show that the best way to get in shape is to incorporate a circuit-training program. This fall, Portland Community College will offer a non-credit class designed to give you a noticeable difference in your physique within 10 weeks.Weight Training: Cardio Circuit will get you toned and improve your overall health by using a combination of weight resistance and cardio machines. The 90-minute circuit training class offers an excellent workout you will feel, and because it relies on your own body resistance, is perfect for all levels. The class will be offered twice this fall as follows: choose from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 28 through Nov. 30; or from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturdays, Oct. 2 through Dec. 11. Both classes will be held at PCC’s Cascade Campus, 705 N. Sign up for two levels of the sport on Saturdays, Oct. 2 through Dec. 11, at PCC’s Cascade Campus, 705 N. Killingsworth St. Cost is $89 for each class and includes 11 sessions of two-hour play. Volleyball, held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., will go over the techniques you need for bumping, setting, serving, playing with strategy and more. The class will get you quickly moving onto the court for team practice and game play. Volleyball: Higher Play, held from 10 a.m. to noon, takes your game to the next level.
