Photoshop class creates digital darkroom to enhance your images

ST. HELENS, Ore. – Film photographers rely on darkrooms to enhance the quality of their images so why not work with a digital darkroom to enhance your digital photos? In a non-credit class Portland Community College will offer you the chance to create a digital darkroom on your own computer by using Photoshop software. Photoshop/Photoshop Elements: Digital Darkroom Beginning harnesses the power of the top software application in photography. Instructor Ronald Barnett will teach you the keys to sharpening your images: how to resize, crop, correct color, manipulate and use various printing techniques. Students will work hands-on to alter their own photos in class, allowing for group suggestions and critiques.This class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 11 through Feb. 22, in Room A1 at St. Helens High School, 2375 Gable Road.
