Discover seven steps to better creative writing

PORTLAND, Ore. – Creative writing can give you a case of writer’s block if you don’t know where to start. Remove the obstacles and take time this spring to learn the basics with a non-credit writing class through Portland Community College. Seven Steps to Creative Writing will teach the tried-and-true keys of producing a quality manuscript, from the initial concept to finished product. Instructor Nancy Woods will offer practical tips that you can use to write articles, essays and fiction. Regardless of your level of experience, writing can become a more enjoyable process with more satisfying results. The eight-week class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, March 31 through May 19, in Room 134 at Grant High School, 2245 N.E. 36th. Cost is $89.
