PORTLAND, Ore. – Grant proposals can be tricky: one misplaced sentence or idea, and your hard work could end up being passed up. Get your proposal noticed, plus learn to avoid the most common pitfalls by signing up for an online, non-credit class offered by Portland Community College. Over $200 billion annually is available for worthy causes. In Writing Effective Grant Proposals, you will learn to avoid the mistakes that get applications for wonderful projects tossed into the wastebasket. Held entirely online via the Internet, the six-week class offers the flexibility to open lessons whenever your schedule allows and features a discussion board with the instructor and other students. The class will be offered twice as follows: April 20 through May 27, and May 18 through June 24. Cost is $79. For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-731-6619.
