ROCK CREEK CAMPUS – People who dream of being published but don’t know where to begin now have a way. The "Put it in Writing" Program is a two-hour session on how to get published in a magazine. It features writers who draw from their own experiences and specialties to help aspiring talent. Also, local librarians will showcase the wide variety of resources available in the library to help writers break into the business. The Rock Creek Library will be hosting the "Put it in writing" Program from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 in the Event Center of Building 9 at the Rock Creek Campus, 17705 N.W. Springville Road. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is also free. This year’s presenter will be Jane Lannigan who is a regular free-lance contributor to Woman’s Day. She will talk about how to get published, but will not review writing samples. PCC reference librarian Alan Cordle will also speak about library resources available for writers. This event is co-sponsored by the American Library Association and Woman’s Day Magazine. To register for this event, call 503-614-7127.
