Soar ahead with ground school flight lessons

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Interested in piloting your career skyward? A Portland Community College non-credit class will take you to new heights as you learn what it takes to become a sport pilot. Sport Pilot Ground School will prepare students for the FAA Sport Pilot test. Instructor Mike Gordon will cover the principles of flight, flight instruments, weight and balance, weather service reports, Federal Aviation regulations, airspace and navigation, and more. Emerge from the class ready to take the exam and begin your career. The nine-week class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, April 5 through May 31, in Room 103 at the PCC Rock Creek Campus, 17705 N.W. Springville Road. Cost is $109.
