PORTLAND, Ore. – Whether you are new to memoir writing or have years of experience, an online, non-credit class through Portland Community College can offer a step-by-step plan to writing your life story. Write Your Life Story will help you create the story that only you can: your memoir. Instructor Eva Shaw will help you move quickly through the process from idea to complete manuscript, writing like a pro. Your story can become a treasured gift to your family. "I’ve wanted to write my life story for some time, but couldn’t figure out where to begin or how to make it interesting to someone else," read a recent student evaluation. "The online format was a great way to read invaluable comments, encouragement, and stories from the class at any time of day."Held entirely online via the Internet, the six-week class offers the flexibility to open lessons whenever your schedule allows and features a discussion board with the instructor and other students. The class will be offered twice as follows: April 20 through May 27, and May 18 through June 24. Cost is $79.For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-731-6619.
