Beltane Festival at Cascade on May 2

The Women’s Resource Center at Cascade, invites you to celebrate Beltane, May 2, from 11am-6pm in the SSB Plaza (weather permitting, otherwise in the cafeteria).The Festivities start at 11am with a May Pole Dance.12pm- Celtic Musician, Heather Alexander www.heatheralexander.com2pm- Native American Drummers3pm-Local Folk Musician and Student, Mike Morgan5pm-Beltaine Music www.beltainemusic.com6pm- Beltane Ceremony and Ritual11-2= ‘Cheap’ Art Sale to benefit the American Cancer Society, donations wanted.Beltane marks the passage into the growing season, the immediate rousing of the earth from her gently awakening slumber, a time when the pleasure of the earth and self are fully awakened. It signals a time when the bounty of the earth will once again be had.
