Get started in pottery with PCC intro class

PORTLAND, Ore. – With the spin of the potter’s wheel, you can shape clay into works of art. All you need to get started is a non-credit class from Portland Community College. This fall, sign up for Introduction to Clay and discover what a satisfying and creative experience it is to mold clay into bowls, vases, mugs and abstract works of art. Students will practice a wide range of hands-on approaches, including hand-building and wheel-throwing. Emerge with completed, fired creations.The 11-week class will meet from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (breaking a half-hour for lunch) each Saturday, Oct. 1 through Dec. 10, in Room MAHB 108 at the PCC Cascade Campus, 705 N.
