PCC's literacy program seeks volunteers
- PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Community College's Volunteer Literacy Tutor program wants to do something about the 22 percent. That's the percentage of adult Oregonians who do not have high enough literacy skills to meet the demands of todays changing workforce. In response, the program is searching for tutors to help non-native English speakers improve their skills. Posted October 5, 2005
