Photos and Story by

PORTLAND, Ore. – In this busy and at times difficult world our experiences of happiness can be fleeting and short-lived. A Portland Community College non-credit class explores how to find peace, and keep it, in our busy lives. Finding Inner Peace in Difficult Times covers how to remain calm and handle stressful situations with clarity and skill. Taught by western Buddhist nun Kelsang Dechan, the class will offer guidance for finding peace permanently. The class will meet for six weeks from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 31 through March 7, at Mahasiddha Buddhist Center, 1235 S.E. Division. Cost is $59. For more information contact the PCC Community Education office at 503-731-6642.
