PORTLAND, Ore. – Ready or not, retirement may be closer than you think. If you have always dreamed of living abroad, now is the perfect time to get more information and start planning for your retirement. Portland Community College is offering a two-week, non-credit class focused on the benefits and pitfalls of retiring in Latin America. Retiring in Latin America will teach you how to choose the right place and avoid common pitfalls. Instructor Timothy Harris will cover retiree visas, incentives, healthcare and insurance, buying property and more. The class will be held from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 2 through Feb. 9, in Room SS 211 at the PCC Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $29.
