BEAVERTON, Ore. – Congratulations, you’re a grandparent! Now what do you do? Defining your new role as a grandparent can be tricky at times especially when society is bombarded with new and different technology, vernacular, and even clothes. The time warp between you and your grandchildren can seem insurmountable. Portland Community College is offering a new non-credit class designed especially for grandparents who want to cross the great divide and relate to their grandchildren while making the most out of their relationship.
How do you become a first-rate grandparent? Grand parenting in the 21st Century will examine and challenge the stereotypes of conventional grand parenting. Instructor Jean Johnson will challenge myths, reveal strategies and help you master grand parenting 21st century style!
The class will meet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 18, in Room 1570 at PCC’s Washington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road. Cost is $29. For more information, contact the PCC Community Education office at 503-533-2708.
