Photos and Story by

Stuart Savin has been selected as CEO and executive dean of the Lancaster Campus at Harrisburg Area Community College in Pennsylvania. Lancaster is the largest of the five regional campuses of HACC, offering more than 50 transfer and career programs. Savin will start his new position on Nov. 1. In addition to the opportunity, the move also places Savin and his family much closer to their extended family.

Savin has served PCC for five years as Division Dean of Math, Manufacturing, and Transportation at the Rock Creek Campus. He has actively supported the programs within his division, including the recent development of the Dealer Service Technology Associates Degree Program (the ThinkBIG Caterpillar partnership).

Additionally, he has been committed to the efforts to achieve diversity, improve faculty hiring process, maximize use of resources, and utilize data for decision-making at PCC. In addition to his five years at PCC, he has seven additional years in post-secondary education and ten years of industry experience to his credit.

Greg Walters has accepted the position of multimedia coordinator. Walters is a former student and lab assistant in the program and has been the interim coordinator since December. Walters brings great energy and passion about the media field. He will be the primary contact point for students, advisors, and others about the Multimedia program at Cascade.
