Opportunity to work half-time in the Financial Aid Office

The Financial Aid Office has an opening for a temporary half-time (.50

FTE) one-year job share position as a Financial Aid Coordinator. This

position is approved through June 30, 2007 and may be extended for one

additional year pending management approval. The Financial Aid Coordinator

provides financial aid services to students on a district-wide basis, including

Columbia Gorge Community College and Tillamook Bay Community College.

This position conducts student need analysis, performs federal verification

and packaging of student aid, certifies federal loan eligibility, provides

financial aid counseling, adjudicates satisfactory academic progress

appeals, provides group presentations, and facilitates problem solving

with students and parents. In addition, this position provides leadership

and program management over the Pell Grant, Oregon Opportunity Grant,

Academic Competitiveness Grant, and Scholarship programs.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business

Administration, Education, Computer Science, Social Science, or related

field. Experience performing the duties of this job may substitute for

the degree requirement on a year for year basis. Demonstrated experience in

student financial aid directly related to financial aid counseling,

eligibility determination, need analysis, verification, and packaging

required.
