IBM diversity executive Ted Childs coming to PCC

PORTLAND, Ore. – A dynamic and charismatic speaker who helped IBM set the standard in diversity employment practices is coming to the Portland Community College Cascade Campus.

Ted Childs, Vice President of Global Workforce Diversity at IBM, will present on the topic “The Diversity Imperative: Strategies for Success in the Global Workplace,” at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7 in the auditorium of the Moriarty Arts and Humanities Building at the Cascade Campus, 705 N. Killingsworth Street. There will be light refreshments served at 5:30 p.m. A reception will also immediately follow his presentation.

Childs has been featured in Diversity Inc. Magazine, which wrote that he was perhaps the most effective diversity executive on the planet. He has been honored nationally as a trailblazer in diversity policies.
