Cascade Campus hosts inspiration chats with administrators

PCC has instructors and administrators who are living, breathing examples of people who have managed to overcome academic challenges. An upcoming series of presentations at the Cascade Campus Learning Center will allow PCC students and the public the opportunity to hear how these academic and professional success stories dealt with periods of challenge in their educational lives.

Nancy Wilder, business administration instructor, will discuss her educational path from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Feb. 28. Preston Pulliams, PCC’s District President will speak about his unique upbringing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6. All presentations are in Terrell Hall 123 at the campus, 705 N. Killingsworth Street.

“Each speaker has been asked to talk about one of their own personal experiences with academic challenge, explain how they overcame it, and answer any questions the audience may have,” said Penny Thompson, coordinator of the Cascade Campus Learning Center. “My hope is that students will recognize that many very successful people have encountered very similar challenges to the ones they are currently experiencing.”
