Couples learn how to pair wine with food

Nothing goes better together than wine and good food, except maybe a great date. This summer take advantage of a Portland Community College wine and food class designed especially for couples.

The non-credit course, Couples: Wine and Food Pairing, will feature seven wines paired with meats, cheeses, chocolates, fruit and more. Instructor Erin Ranson will provide great pairing opportunities to savor.

The class will be offered twice this summer: from 7 to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Wine Cellar, 13486-A, N.W. Cornell Road and from 7 to 9:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31, at Vino Vixens, 2929 S.E. Powell Blvd. Cost is $39 per person.
