For people who love gardening, but don’t have the time or space, instructor Karen Cox will host a class that will get them back in the garden.

The non-credit Portland Community College class, Hands in the Dirt, will help students explore their connection with the Earth. Students will harvest and plant fall crops in the Learning Garden and will spend reflective time keeping a journal on their gardening experience. The class will meet from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m., Thursdays, Aug. 7 through Aug. 28, Room 136, Building 5, Rock Creek Campus, 17705 S.W. Springville Road. Cost is $45.
