A (relatively) busy day in Public Affairs

Fourteen days to go…

When we say our office has become “all bond, all the time,” we’re not kidding. I started my day today with a 7:30 a.m. meeting in downtown Portland. My last event will be 8 p.m. in front of the Washington County Democratic Party.

First, let me just say, I’m a former newspaper copy editor. I don’t do 7:30 a.m. I think I put my brain in backward this morning. I basically sat at that meeting and tried to articulate consonants and vowels; full sentences were out of the question. There was a great deal of nodding and rubbing my chin and saying, “Hmm,” and hoping it came across as pensive.

The thing tonight with the Washington County Dems will be easy. I’ve got 5 minutes to tell my story (workforce training, workforce training and workforce training), then get outta Dodge. This, I can do.

Then it’s home to my two cats, Netflix (“Entourage” season 4), a good night’s sleep, and back at it tomorrow.
