Two BCT students earn Root Award scholarships

Two Building Construction Technology students Anne Frische and Sherry Pollard were awarded scholarships through the Root Award, which sponsored by Portland Spaces Magazine. Frische will receive $4,000 and Pollard will get $1,000. The two Rock Creek students were among six students around the metro area who won these awards. The winners are posted in the latest issue of Portland Spaces Magazine.
In November, more than 500 people, including several Portland designers, attended the Root Awards gala fundraiser at the Portland Art Museum’s Grand Ballroom The event, held by Portland Spaces Magazine, helped raise more than $15,000 for the new Portland Spaces Root Awards Scholarship Fund, which recognizes top Portland students in the fields of architecture, building and design.
