Summer is a great time to get out and learn something new! Many Community Education classes let you take advantage of the season by offering great outdoor classes like hiking, gardening and outdoor photography. Here are some highlighted classes to get you started:

Beacon Rock Hike the Rock: Beacon Rock

Beacon Rock, an old volcanic plug, rises almost 1,000 feet from the valley floor. Ascend to the top via 47 switchbacks an numerous catwalks. Then, explore many hidden falls on the Wahkeena Falls loop trail. The views are spectacular!

Turn your yard into food! Learn crop rotation, organic fertilization, beneficial insects, pollinating and seed collection. Learn about fruit trees, soils, creating beautiful layouts by choosing the best plants for your garden.
