Concerts slated at Sylvania

The Portland Community College Music Program will offer free concerts this Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 1 and 2, in the Performing Arts Center, Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. both nights with a prelude by the PCC Voices of Soul chorus and students from the PCC Chamber Choir. The formal programs begin at 7 p.m.

Both nights will feature a different variety of musical offerings including instrumental and vocal soloists, chamber ensembles and vocal ensembles. The works run the musical gamut from Peter Iilich Tchaikovsky to Sonny Rollins, and from George Frideric Handel to Philip Glass.
