June, the Hillsboro Intermodal Transit Facility that is home to PCC’s Hillsboro Center, was picked as one of the Daily Journal of Commerce’s top projects for 2011.

June, PCC was profiled in Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air’s in-flight magazine, which showcased local colleges serving the needs of Portland-area business.

June 7, The Oregonian featured PCC’s graduation speaker Joyce McNair in its TownSquare section.

June 9, The Oregonian highlighted PCC’s 49th commencement.

June 11, KATU TV profiled Val Polk, an original Crips gang member from the 1980s, who used PCC to turn his life around.

June 13, Roger Gregory of The Oregonian showcased the two Beaverton students who were awarded Ford Family Scholarships.

June 15, The Oregonian’s Betsy Hammond, Oregon Live, KEX Radio, 105.9 The Brew, KPTV, the Portland Tribune, Eugene Register-Guard and KGW TV reported on the University of Oregon’s involvement with Middle College.

June 17, PCC art faculty Evertt Beidler’s national kick-starter campaign was mentioned on Oregon Live.

June 20, Maithy Ngo, a student at Cascade Campus, made news in The Asian Reporter for her work with NASA’s aerospace scholars program.

June 22, the Foundation’s growth in funds and applications were featured in the Portland Observer.

June 22, PCC’s 15 Ford Scholars were mentioned in the Newberg Graphic’s “Schools in Brief” section.

June 24, PCC Foundation’s surge in application got some attention on Oregon Live.

June 27, Oregon Live reported on PCC’s programs that have achieved perfect pass rates on certification exams by their students in the past year.
